Spring Break Activities

Spring into FUN at The Works!

Join us for a variety of Spring Break activities. ..

Tuesday, March 30th through Friday, April 2nd.

11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day

Tuesday: "Zap in a Snap" – Guests can create their own working circuit to take home, explore the hands-on museum and see electricity-themed shows in the Science Theater.
“That’s Shocking” Science Shows @ 12:30 & 2:30
Glassblowing Shows @ 1:00 & 3:00

Wednesday: "Spring Break Nationals I" – National Trail Raceway will be present to judge races.  Awards will be given to top 3 finishers in each category.

Thursday: "Don't Be Fooled by Art"  Guests will create their own piece of “Op” Art.

Glassblowing Shows @ 1:00 & 3:00

Friday: "Spring Break Nationals II" – National Trail Raceway will be present to judge races.  Awards will be given to top 3 finishers in each category.

No registration required. Admission to the activities and the entire museum is $7 for adults, $3 for children, $5 for seniors and FREE for members of The Works.
 

STEM Camp for Teachers- April 1st

    Have you ever wondered what STEM really is and how it fits in your classroom?  Join us on April 1st for a morning of discovery with an array of programs and lessons in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). Teachers will receive lesson plans aligned to state content standards, engage in hands-on programs that fit right in your classroom and receive 3 contact hours for participation!

Times: 9am-Noon
