Annual Scholarship Fund Walk

The Works kicked-off the inaugural year of The Works Scholarship Walk on The Square in downtown Newark in June, 2010. This exciting event, coordinated by local high school Juniors, is a fund-raiser to benefit The Works Scholarship Fund. The fund provides museum memberships to families who would otherwise be unable to visit the museum due to financial constraints. The Scholarship Fund also provides assistance to schools faced with budget cuts, limiting their ability to take students on field trips. Through the Scholarship Fund, The Works is able to reach children and families affected by these circumstances and integrate an appreciation for history, art, technology and science into their lives in the face of adversity.
