Youth / School Group Tours
Students
from grades Pre-K to 8 love visiting The Works for school tours! Tours
are packed with hands-on excitement and aligned with State Content
Standards. Schedule a Tyke Tour or Jr. Genius Tour for you students
today!
Outreach Programs
Bring The Works to you! A sampling of our science activities on wheels
are great for students from Pre-K to 8th grade. Sessions can be designed
for classrooms or facilitated in an assembly format.

STEM Education
Science, Technology, Engineering & Math are a part of every program
presented by The Works. Learn more about how The Works embraces STEM by

Homeschool Workshops: WASA
The Works Art & Science Academy (WASA) is designed for the
alternative schooling community. Science and art classes are available
for students in grades 1 through 8.
8 Hands-On Activity Labs
Activity labs are all about having fun and learning. The first floor of
The Works is devoted to a variety of interactive learning stations.
Glassblowing Studio
Live glassblowing demonstrations are an amazing thing to watch! Students
will be fascinated to see a professional glass artist transform
white-hot blobs of molten glass into colorful vases, bowls and other
beautiful works of art.
Art Gallery
The Works is home to a large Main Gallery with frequently rotating
exhibits from local, national and international artists displaying a
variety of art genres.
Wood
& Print Shops
The Wood and Print Shops allow students to see the beautiful art of wood
turning and learn about the evolution of printing presses. Students can
watch wood be transformed from rough tree knots into sleek and polished
bowls and keepsake boxes. The print shop houses several presses and
antique lettering allowing students to learn to set type and print their
own "money".
