Plan to spend a day of Spring Break at The Works participating in the fast and furious Spring Break Nationals! Kids are invited to build K'NEX race cars and race them in head-to-head competitions. Competing K'NEX race cars must be constructed in The Works Go Lab! the day of the event. Due to popularity, 2 race times are being offered at 1 p.m. & 4 p.m. During each race session, contenders will be separated into age groups and take to the track for single elimination races. Winners receive an award courtesy of National Trail Raceway.
Race fans will also have a chance to meet Rick Watson, race car owner and driver from Watson Brothers Racing. Rick will be here from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. to show off his awesome race car, talk about racing, and answer questions! Rick runs his 1979 Chevrolet Malibu in Super Street, Super Pro, and Pro classes and is sponsored by Coughlincars.com and Auto Additions. The Malibu is equipped with a Chevrolet power plant 383 engine with approximately 580 horse power. Rick's best time was 10.38 at 127.99 mph in the quarter mile.
