Museum Challenge (grades 3-6): A Works Standard for 4 years in a row! Students team up to compete in this fast paced hunt for history and game show that proclaims Licking County’s industrial past!
Jr. Genius Science Basics (grades 2-4): A fun and entertaining mix of hands-on activities and enlightening demonstrations! Experience the concepts of Forces and Motion, Thermodynamics, Sound, Magnetism and more!
Tyke Tour (grades preschool K):
For our youngest visitors! Have fun in Tyke Lab! See our famous glassblowing show! Choose from two popular options:
Option 1:
Simple Machines: Discover how machines make our lives easier! Check out some very cool tools with The Works.
Option 2:
Matter: Solids, Liquids and Gasses, Oh My!: Learn about all the different states of matter and explore some really amazing GOO!
Club MESS: Polymers (grades 1-8): Create a stir as you discover the science of slime, plastics, rubber and non-Newtonian silliness!
Club MESS: Structures (grades 1-8): Form follows function…and leads to fun in this fascinating look at what’s at work in the world of construction and engineering!

Classroom Outreach offerings:
“The Stress Free Science Fair!” - Don’t Panic! It’s only Science! Make use of the Scientific Method to find the fun and lose
the anxiety associated with those big science projects.
“Bridges and Structures featuring K’NEX!” Play and learn while discovering the evolution of bridge building, the concepts of tension and compression, and making impressive structures of your own design!
“FUN with Physics!” The show that ROCKS The Works, hits the road! In this fast paced presentation it’s Fast vs. Slow! Big vs. Small! Energy, Speed, Collisions…Oh My! Afterward, brainstorm on how to use everyday items to create your own energy toy to take home!
