The Works respects the privacy of our guests and members. We pledge to protect your personal information to the best of our ability.

The Works Museum takes the privacy of visitors to our site very seriously. The following addresses some areas of privacy issues. If you have additional questions that are not answered here, please contact Guest Services.

 


 

Collection of Information:

The Works collects only the domain name of visitors to our web sites. We also collect "traffic" data on pages that readers access or visit and information volunteered by readers, such as that provided in on-line forms.

Information collected is used solely to improve the content of our site and services, or to provide you with requested information on our products and services. This data is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

The Works only send e-communication to visitors who request it (customers and partners of The Works may receive, from time to time, information to help improve their experience with the service). If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by emailing us at info@attheworks.org, by calling, or writing The Works to request your e-mail be removed from our database. If your browser accepts cookies we may use a cookie to determine if you are a repeat or new visitor, or to understand how many different visitors come to our sites. When we examine this data, it is always presented in an aggregate form.

If you supply The Works with your postal address online you will only receive the information you specifically request -- never any unsolicited mail.

Persons who supply The Works with their telephone numbers online may receive telephone contact from us with information that they specifically requested online. It will not be used for unsolicited sales or marketing information.



 

Online Memberships and Donations

When you purchase a membership or make a donation to The Works online, we will ask you to provide us with the information we need to process your membership and/or to acknowledge your contribution.  This information includes your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information.   Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction.

 


 

E- Blasts

As a service, The Works offers visitors to the Works Website the opportunity to subscribe to recieve additional information from the museum via e-blast correspondance.  If you choose to subscribe, you will periodically receive e-blast notifications from The Works.  You may subscribe or unsubscribe at any time by following the "Unsubscribe" link accompanying all e-blasts.

 


 

Photography

All visitors of The Works may be photographed or video taped for use in promotional collateral of any type (print, web, etc.) unless The Works is otherwise informed in writing by the individual(s) of their preferance not to be used in such materials.
